FURY PLATINUM 18U ROUMELIS
Coach Joe Roumelis is back in 2025 for his fifth year leading Fury Platinum 18U Roumelis as Head Coach, while also serving as the program’s Director and Recruiting Coordinator.
Since launching the FPNE program in Fall 2021, Coach Joe's teams have posted a 154-78-13 record (.655 winning percentage). Over that time, his rosters have featured:
28 All-Division/All-Conference high school players
18 All-State or All-Scholastic awards in RI, MA, and CT
9 H.S. State Champions from MA and RI
2x Boston Globe Player of the Year, RHP Delaney Moquin (Silver Lake HS, ’24 & ’25)

In 2024–25, Coach Joe led his 18U squad to its most successful season yet, finishing the summer 33-4-2 and 46-15-2 overall. It marked the second straight season with 40+ wins at the 18U level while competing in elite Northeast showcases tournaments on main complexes. It was also the second consecutive season that every one of the team’s junior and senior classes was committed to play college softball by season’s end.

Joe is also the Head Coach at La Salle Academy in Providence, RI — one of the top-ranked high school softball programs in the country. Since joining in 2023, the Rams have gone 72-4 overall, winning three straight RI Division 1 state titles and going a perfect 12-0 in the postseason. In 2025, he was promoted to Head Coach and quickly put La Salle on the national map, with his team achieving 3 national publication rankings:

As a coach, Joe Roumelis brings years of dedicated experience developing elite-level softball pitchers. Known for his pitch-call precision and individualized approach, Joe has helped shape some of the region’s top arms by developing an arsenal tailored to each pitcher’s strengths. His detailed approach to game planning prepares pitchers not just for showcases and tournaments, but for long-term success at the collegiate level. He balances high standards with strong mentorship, empowering athletes to compete confidently and grow as leaders on the field. In addition, Joe provides a deep understanding of offensive game planning, including hitting strategies tailored to opposing pitchers, managing baserunning tactics, and teaching teams how to maximize scoring opportunities with bunts, steals, and situational hitting. On the defensive side, Coach Joe organizes the team’s defensive sets based on game situations and player strengths, positioning fielders effectively and coordinating pitch-calling with defensive alignments. Of particular importance to his coaching approach is developing an athlete’s mental preparedness by building focus, confidence, and resilience, training players to manage pressure, recover from mistakes, and maintain a competitive mindset throughout game and practice settings.
Alongside 18U Assistant Coach Jeff Pallotta, Coach Joe co-owns the H.I.T. Center of RI, a state-of-the-art indoor training facility that powers Fury’s year-round development. This is where Fury teams grind through winter training — working on individual hitting, catching, fielding, and live at-bats — getting sharper & stronger every offseason. The H.I.T. Center features 10 batting & pitching tunnels, Hack Attack machines, HitTrax analytics, and live hitting tunnels.
MADDY CARPE
FURY PLATINUM 18U CARPE
Fury Platinum New England is excited to welcome Maddy Carpe as our new 18U Regional Showcase coach for the 2025–2026 season.
Maddy joins Fury following two years on the Harvard University coaching staff, where she served as the Defensive Specialist Assistant Coach. In addition to leading defensive efforts, she was instrumental in hitting preparation and recruiting. During her time at Harvard, Maddy helped guide the Crimson to a 2023 regular-season Co-Championship and Ivy Tournament appearances in both 2023 and 2024.
As a student-athlete, Maddy played for Boston College, where she showcased her versatility by playing every position on the field—primarily as a catcher. In 2023, she was named Co-Captain and received two prestigious honors:
The Eagle Award, which reflects Boston College’s mission to learn, seek truth, and live with purpose
The Welles Crowther Patch, awarded to the player who best represents BC’s motto: Men and Women for Others

PEYTON SCHNACKENBERG
FURY PLATINUM 16U PEYTON
Fury Platinum New England proudly welcomes back Coach Peyton Schnackenberg to lead the 16U program for the 2025–2026 season.
Peyton brings high-level playing experience as a five-year NCAA Division I pitcher. She began her collegiate career at Syracuse University before transferring to Boston College, where she spent three seasons. She completed her final year at Villanova as a graduate student, playing a key role on the Wildcats’ pitching staff. During her time at Villanova, she earned recognition as an Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete and was named to the All-BIG EAST Academic Team.
While at Boston College (2020–2022), Peyton made 51 appearances in the circle, recording 126 strikeouts and a 10–12 record with a 4.79 ERA. One of her most memorable performances came on March 20, 2022, when she threw a complete-game, eight-inning, one-hit victory in an upset over Florida State.
Peyton’s softball journey began long before college. She was named a 2018 PGF All-American and earned Skyland Conference Player of the Year honors in 2017 during a standout high school career in New Jersey.
As a coach, Peyton brings a competitive edge, a deep understanding of the game, and a passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
Veteran Program Assistants
TERI MORGAN
Coach Teri Morgan has been an integral part of the Fury Platinum New England (FPNE) program since its founding, bringing leadership, consistency, and a strong developmental focus across all age levels. Since 2021, she has served as head coach at every level from 12U through 18U, helping build the foundation of the organization’s competitive success. Coach Teri is known for preparing younger athletes in a college-style training environment, setting standards that align with the expectations of higher-level play. At practices, Coach Teri works primarily with outfielders, and during games, she coaches third base and contributes her experience in pitch calling. A former standout outfielder herself, Teri was a four-time All-Region selection at UMass-Amherst, where she played from 1999 to 2002. Her deep playing background and all-around coaching expertise make her a key asset to the FPNE coaching staff and a valued mentor to developing athletes.
JEFF PALLOTTA
Coach Jeff Pallotta brings over a decade of softball coaching experience to Fury Platinum New England. He launched the organization’s first 14U program as Head Coach in 2022, and has since contributed at both the 16U and 18U levels. Jeff specializes in developing infielders, designing structured and progressive practice plans to build strong fundamentals and situational awareness. He also serves as a third base coach for the 18U Roumelis team during games. A former shortstop for the University of Rhode Island (1994–1998), Jeff enjoyed a standout senior season, posting a .369 batting average with a .457 on-base percentage. His years as a collegiate athlete have shaped his deep understanding of infield play and game dynamics. Coach Jeff is known for his steady, player-first approach with young athletes. He emphasizes confidence, accountability, and smart decision-making, on and off the field.
CHRIS MORGAN
Coach Chris serves as the organization's dedicated catching instructor and also delivers both group and one-on-one batting instruction. As a catching specialist, he guides players through dynamic stretching routines designed to prime their bodies for competition and leads arm-strengthening drills and advanced throwing technique training. Chris’s elite experience extends back to his playing days as a catcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (1999–2002). Over his collegiate career, he distinguished himself as one of UMass’s top offensive performers, concluding his UMass career ranked 7th all-time in home runs (23), and 10th in both doubles (35) and RBIs (115). Today, Chris brings that high-level playing pedigree to his coaching. He blends a player-first mindset with precision instruction—fostering confidence, agility, and sharp fundamentals in his athletes.
