Information about Fury Platinum
PURPOSE: Our organization exists to prepare student-athletes to perform at the collegiate softball level. Showcase programs are not for everyone; it takes a highly driven player to buy into the standard of work required to compete with the best. If you are that type of player, then Fury Platinum will open doors for you to get seen in top tournaments, receive a high level of skill development, and get discovered. Being part of Fury Platinum is a big commitment, but it will yield results. Please ensure this commitment level is what you want for your softball experience.
SCHEDULE: We play an East Coast showcase schedule, attending high-visibility events in 3 regions: Northeast & Mid-Atlantic (primary), and Southeast (secondary). We are recognized nationally as a high-quality softball brand with recruitable athletes at these tournaments, thus attracting college coaches.
COACHING: You will be taught the game of softball as it is played at the top levels of the game by some of the best coaches in the New England area. Our showcase staff lives and breathes softball year-round. They will prepare you for the transition to college, starting your freshman year in H.S. FPNE staff brings decades of experience on the playing field and in the dugout.
FIELD PLACEMENT: Fury Platinum seeks to compete on the top fields in our attended events, such as Team NJ, New England’s Finest, Scenic City, Triple Crown Nationals, Northern Exposure, NE College Showcase, NJ Nightmare events, and more. This gives Fury players a chance to play against the best players on any given weekend in front of college coaches from each NCAA Division. Our teams never shy away from being challenged.
VALUE: Recruitment-focused travel softball is not cheap; costs are increasing across the industry. We’ll keep your investment manageable and affordable. Our families attest to Fury Platinum’s value being unmatched. Fundraising events and team and/or player sponsorships are always encouraged to help defray individual costs. Additionally, we are a non-profit 501c3 organization.
PHILOSOPHY: You can’t cheat the game, it always knows the work you put in. There are no handouts here, performance and effort matter. We ensure all our players get plenty of playing experience (that is the point), but there are no guarantees. If players are to reach higher levels in their game, they need to be fully immersed in this type of environment. We’ll prepare you for H.S. and College, where you must compete and produce to earn playing time.
MANAGEMENT: All Fury Platinum New England teams are under the direction of FPNE Director Joe Roumelis to ensure schedule quality and player development. Coaches for the Platinum group are held to high standards.
